2.01 STONE MATERIALS
A. Wall Stone: Authentic hand-split antique granite, naturally weathered, as supplied by Fitzwilliam Granite Company, Fitzwilliam, NH. Stone shall exhibit natural split face and weathered patina consistent with previously mined New England granite. Substitutions: Not permitted without written approval of the Architect.
B. Steps / Treads: Antique hand-split granite step treads as supplied by Fitzwilliam Granite Company, Fitzwilliam, NH. Treads shall have natural split top surface with tonal variation consistent with weathered New England granite. Dimensions as indicated on drawings.
PART 3 — EXECUTION
3.01 SOURCE QUALITY CONTROL
A. Obtain all granite from a single source: Fitzwilliam Granite Company, Fitzwilliam, NH, (603) 850-3630. Material samples shall be approved by Architect prior to delivery.
